Use of Klaviyo

We use Klaviyo Inc.’s service (125 Summer St Floor 7, Boston, MA 02111, USA; “Klaviyo”) for newsletter distribution under a data processing agreement.

We share the information you provide during newsletter registration (email address, and possibly first and last name) with Klaviyo. The data processing is for the purpose of sending newsletters and performing statistical evaluations.

To evaluate newsletter campaigns, the newsletters sent contain a 1×1 pixel graphic (tracking pixel) or a tracking link. This allows us to determine if you have opened the newsletter and if you have clicked on any integrated links. In this context, we collect personal data such as IP address, browser type and device, as well as the time. Usage profiles can be created from this data under a pseudonym. The collected data is not used to personally identify you. The data is used solely for statistical evaluation to improve newsletter campaigns.

Your data is typically transmitted to and stored on Klaviyo’s servers in the USA. An adequacy decision by the EU Commission, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF), is in place for the USA. We use the CDN service “Nitropack CDN.” The provider is Nitropack LLC, 801 Garden Street 3 A, Prof. Georgi Bradistilov Str. 1700 Sofia, Bulgaria (“Nitropack”). Nitropack provides a globally distributed Content Delivery Network with DNS. The technical information transfer between your browser and our website is routed through Nitropack’s network. A CDN is an online service that delivers large media files (such as graphics, page content, or scripts) through a network of regional and internet-connected servers.
